The American Dream and Other Fairy Tales

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion and Cinema and Media Studies invite you to the free viewing of the documentary, The American Dream and Other Fairy Tales, by Emmy Award winner and internationally sought-after filmmaker and speaker, Abigail Disney. The film explores the profound economic inequality in American society and asks why the American Dream has worked for the wealthy, yet it is a nightmare for those born with little. As a way to imagine a more equitable future, Disney uses her own family story to explore systemic injustice. Please also join the filmmaker the next day, October 1st, when she will participate in two separate panels at 12 noon and 5:15 pm, at the Atrium and Ballroom, respectively, at Gettysburg College. All events are free and open to the public.
